A is for Altar

To make these techniques meaningful try finding a space in your home that you can create a peaceful setting. Play some soft or favorite music. Display a vase of fresh flowers. Light a candle or mist some essential oils. I have set up an altar where I place these items plus a journal and a favorite pen to capture my experiences. You could include a symbol of a spirit that speaks to you, such as a saint, guru, God or goddess. I have a picture of “laughing Jesus,” some yoga statues and a Buddha quote.


Use this special place to set the mood for your “you time.” Take a deep breath and breathe in the relaxation of the space. So let’s begin.
