E is for Earthing. More Than A Walk In The Park

Updated: Jun 26, 2021

What would you say if I told you you could reduce chronic inflammation simply by going barefoot outside? The main condition in many illnesses, chronic inflammation can cause allergies, arthritis, kidney and cardiovascular disease plus so much more.

Earthing, as it’s called by the book of the same name, is quickly becoming recognized for its health benefits throughout the healthcare world. Have you ever felt a tingling sensation or warmth in your legs while walking barefoot on the beach or lawn? If you did, that’s the Earth energizing you.

“Only recently has the knowledge and significance of this connection been explored and explained by scientific experts in geophysics, bio-physics, electrical engineering, electrophysiology, and medicine,” wrote the authors of Earthing. “From them we are learning that the Earth’s electrical energy maintains the order of our own bodily frequencies just as a conductor controls the coherence and cadence of an orchestra.” This concept goes beyond the benefits of just being a nice walk in the park. There is much research on the concept, showing a reduction in inflammation and an increase in parasympathetic activity. (The parasympathetic nervous, works to relax and slow down the body’s response to anxiety and stress.)

We live in a desert climate with temperatures this week above 114F so walking on the earth is not really an option for me…plus there are scorpions! I bought an Earthing Matt. It works the same way as being outside. It provides an electrical boost of energy, soothing inflammation just like going barefoot outside. My dog proceeded to destroy it when I wasn’t around so the very customer-oriented company put a new one in the mail to me at no charge. I hope to share results soon.

Do you suffer from inflammation that is making life challenging, you might want to consider Earthing.
